Replaceable transport plates The original drum mowers invented by PZ are today marketed under the Vicon name. Available in mounted and trailed versions, with and without conditioner, in working widths from 1.65 to 9.0 m.
For a better and faster crop throughput, each mower drum has two flat sides on which strips with replaceable transport plates are fitted. These plates pull the crop between the drums and directly transport it to the rear. This patented invention keeps the crop away from the drums, thus considerably reducing wear and the risk of wrapping in long crops.
Freely rotating saucers
The saucers can rotate during mowing. So the machine can closely follow the ground contours. That prevents swath damage in all conditions.
Drums with flat sides
Round drums do not transport. Vicon uses drums with two flat sides for optimum crop transport. The drum and drum skirt consist of two separate parts. That greatly facilitates maintenance and repairs.

Plain Mower: Rear and front mounted mowers with working widths from 1.65 to 9.0 m

Wedge-shaped cutter bar
The "Wedge" shaped cutter bar with free space at the leading edge, gives less ground resistance and glides smoothly over small obstacles without bulldozing. Top service hubs
Vicon`s new top service hubs provide for simple maintenance. Each cutter head is fully serviceable without having to dismantle the entire bar.
Contra rotating discs
All Vicon mower conditioners have contra rotating discs. Apart from the immediate crop transport to the rear, this system ensures that even in wet conditions no stripes of uncut forage are left in the field.
Fully protected cutter bar
The fully protected cutter bar bottom lessens bar wear in stony, abrasive conditions and has additional tough wear strips as standard equipment for an even longer life.
Well sealed gears and bearings
A unique combination of seals protects the shafts and bearings against damage from dust and corrosive grass juices
